Lauren Powers (born December 13, 1961) is an American actress, amateur bodybuilder, and former firefighter.Powers was born in 1961 in Los Angeles, California. She graduated valedictorian from Huntington Beach High School. She owned and operated a surfing academy on Maui while in college. Powers graduated from the University of Hawaii with a business degree.
Powers moved to Laguna Beach, where she witnessed the October 1993 fire that destroyed 17,000 acres (69 km2) of the town in a single day. Moved to join the Laguna Beach Fire Department, she began weight training in order to pass the physical agility test in 1994.
